I have moved the Proton to the front of my Project list in hopes of having it ready for the Winter Nationals in Feb '08. I am putting in a 6" main motor mount with plans flying extreme in the future. For now I'll adapt down to 4" and fly it on an AMW M1900BB and 6 CTI I-205's .. or something like that.
Inspired by the recent Mars Lander successes the Colorado Experimental Group (CEG) and Northern Colorado Rocketry (NCR) joined together and built a 10% scale Delta II rocket complete with 9 drop away boosters. It launched successfully on Oct 9, 2004 at the NCR Oktoberfest launch in Northern Colorado. Check out the Gallery and the Videos
Inspired by the recent Cassini Huygens Project on the moons of Saturn, I have built an 8% scale Titan IV rocket complete with drop-away boosters. The Titan flew June 25th at Whitakers NC. After a spectacular liftoff the Titan veered right and broke up.
Here are some of my current and past projects:
My 2-stage Assassin is being rebuilt (don't ask why!) and will be flying soon. The 5.5" dia, 13' Assassin sports 3" motor mounts in each stage. I hope to fly it on an "M" to "K" at Whitakers this Spring. See you there
I came across my old Estes DragonShip 7 and saw it could really use some repair/rebuild work. Then I got to thinking .. and you know what can result from that. Imagine 12" diameter .. 10' long .. oh yea!! and wait 'til you hear how it will recover
My Level 3 Project, ThunderBeast, at an NCR launch in '04 lifts off on an AMW M-1480 Red Rhino. Awesome
Here are some of my other rockets ...

I will be attempting the Titan IV again soon by building a scaled down version to work out the details and logistice. There are some very extreme CG / CP issues to overcome this time.
